How does the free plan work?
The free plan is completely free forever with unlimited recordings, AI transcription, and categorization. You get 7 days of history and basic search. No credit card required. Upgrade to Pro anytime for unlimited history and advanced features.
How accurate is the transcription?
IdeaVox uses advanced AI transcription that's trained on technical language and developer terminology. While accuracy depends on audio quality and accents, we consistently achieve over 95% accuracy for clear audio.
What categories does the AI extract?
IdeaVox automatically categorizes your recordings into: Done Today, To Do Next, Challenges & Learnings, Good Stuff, Bad Stuff, Ideas & Insights, and Best Practices. All categories are searchable and filterable.
Is my code and data secure?
Yes, security is our top priority. All audio and transcripts are encrypted in transit and at rest. We use bank-level encryption and comply with SOC 2, GDPR, and other major security standards. Your data is never used to train AI models.
Can I use IdeaVox on mobile?
Yes! IdeaVox works on both desktop and mobile browsers. We also offer native apps for iOS and Android with background recording support, so you can capture thoughts while on the go.
Can I export my logs?
Pro and Team plans include export functionality. You can export your logs or specific date ranges to Markdown or PDF format for sharing with your team or including in documentation.
What languages are supported?
IdeaVox currently supports English with excellent accuracy for technical terms. We're actively working on adding support for Spanish, German, French, and other major languages.
Do you offer student or open source discounts?
Yes! We offer free Pro plans for students with a valid .edu email address and for maintainers of active open source projects. Contact us to apply for a discount.
